Over 50% of the funding for USCB Chamber Music comes from the generosity of our Friends. It is this consistent annual support that enables us to continue bringing world-class concerts with world-renowned performers to the Lowcountry.

Below are the Friend levels. Friends at all levels will be listed in the 2024-25 Chamber Music Program and invited to a post-concert reception with the evening's artists in April. Friends at the Patron and higher levels will be invited to a new adventure that will include an on-stage session with rehearsing artists followed by mimosas and brunch at one of Beaufort's historic homes on February 15, 2025.  Please consider becoming a Friend of Chamber Music.

Initiated in 2017 and made possible by the consistent generosity of Friends, a significant initial donation from Anita and John Mahoney, and generous donations from the Founding Members of the Endowment Legacy Society and others, this Endowment will ensure that the music of the world’s finest classical composers and musicians will continue to make Beaufort the cultural envy of much larger, much wealthier, and much less fortunate towns and cities.

While the Friends of Chamber Music annual donations are essential to support the expected yearly operating expenses of the Series, the Endowment is a statement of the community’s and the University’s long-term commitment to the program and an invaluable means of meeting unforeseen financial challenges should they arise. As a life-sustaining, life-enhancing instrument, it offers donors the opportunity to ensure not only the concerts’ present, but also their future. Going forward, the Endowment will grow with additional donations, earnings, and the routine reinvestment of earnings, thus, establishing further financial stability and security for the incomparable music of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, et al. as well as the brilliant artistry of Armstrong, Arron, Ehnes, Parks, et al.

The USC Educational Foundation in Columbia provides professional expertise for investing and administering the USCB Chamber Music Endowment. It offers a variety of methods for contributing: cash/securities, retirement plans, matching gifts, multi-year pledges, bequests, charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts.
